Day 01: Yangon – Thanlyin
Welcome you at the Yangon international airport. Then go to drive to Thanlyin with its shady trees, relaxing change of pace and vibrant market to stroll through, sightseeing includes the ancient monastery and observe the way of life to Buddhist monks, visit Yele Paya (mid rive pagoda) situated 12 km from Thanlyin at Kyauktan. We will take a boat trip with pleasant scenery. One attraction includes large, wild catfish being fed on the shores of the island by the locals. After lunch, back to Yangon.
Day 02: Yangon – Kyaikhtiyo (Golden Rock)
Breakfast at hotel. Morning drive to Kyaikhti, enroute sightseeing at Bago and proceed to Kyaikhtiyo. (185 km, 4 hours drive). Kyaikthiyo is a major pilgrimage site for Buddhists. From the base camp (Kinpun Sakan) take a car ride up to Rathedaung (45 mins) and then walk up to he Kyaikhtiyo pagoda (45 mins). This is where you will find the famous “Golden Rock”, a huge boulder precariously perccched on the edge of a cliff face seemingly defying gravity. It is believed that Buddha’s hair is precisely placed on the Golden Rock stupa thereby keeping it’s fine balance. Enjoy the panoramic view of Mt. Kyaikhtiyo. Overnight in at hotel Kyaikhtiyo.
Day 03: Kyaikhtiyo – Bago – Yangon
Breakfast at hotel. Then walk down to base camp by public bus. Then proceed to Bago. Bago sightseeing includes; Kyaikpun Pagoda, 28 metre high huge Buddha Image, The palace of King Bayintnaung are some of the places of interests. Shwemawdaw Pagoda ( over 100 meter high ) one of the venerated pagodas in Myanmar, Shwetharlyaung reclining Buddha Image, the world’s most beautiful reclining Buddha Image and proceed to Yangon. In the late afternoon there is free time for shopping at Bogyoke Market, formerly Scott’s Market before transferring to Hotel. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.
Day 04: Yangon
Breakfast at hotel. Free day at Yangon. Overnight at hotel in Yangon
Day 05: Departure
Breakfast at hotel. Then transfer to airport for international departure.
